Silver rises near $49 as precious metals diverge in broad decline: Nov 8, 2026

Silver rose according to FXStreet data, with attention on the $49.00 level after a Doji standoff. The move comes as the silver market sits at its lowest level in 20 years and precious metals stood apart during a broad election-driven decline across commodities. CFTC data to Nov. 3 put COMEX silver net positions at 2,665 lots, while the iShares Silver Trust trimmed holdings by 42.11 tons to 15,709.79 tons.
