Aussie holds firm as hot CPI lifts RBA hike bets: Oct 30, 2026
The Australian dollar is reacting to hot inflation data on both sides of the Pacific. Hot Australian CPI data and hawkish messaging from the Reserve Bank of Australia have lifted expectations for a further hike to 4.85%, while a Federal Reserve pause has exposed a split over inflation. Hot US inflation data has also weighed at times, with the pair breaking below its 100-day average.
