GBP/USD bias flipped 9 times to bullish on October 2, 2026

The pound has traded near its late-June lows and around 1.3200 as strong US jobs and factory data, higher US yields and risk-off conditions have supported continued demand for the US dollar. A softer jobs report that reduced expectations for an October Fed rate increase briefly helped sterling recover, while a drop in UK government bond prices that lifted gilt yields to 6% and attention on the upcoming UK Budget have added further focus for the currency.
