US Dollar Index bias flipped 32 times to bearish on October 2, 2026

The Dollar Index rose to multi-month highs above 102.00, including an 18-month high, as surging Treasury yields and an extended bond rout coincided with euro weakness that pushed EUR/USD below 1.13. Headlines also linked the move to dearer crude oil pressuring the euro. A soft US payrolls report of 29K then pushed the index back below 102.00 as expectations for an October Fed hike faded, while the euro continued to lag.
